Read The Room

Adam Ray's special, "Read The Room" is fast-paced, full of jokes, really funny impressions, and personal anecdotes. Even though the special is on the longer side at 76 minutes, it definitely doesn't feel like it.

It's taped in San Francisco at the Punchline. I tend to like comedians who move with some pace and bring energy with delivering their material. Adam's definitely does that in spades. I like comedy that attacks the audience to keep them on their toes. This special is definitely along those lines.

My favorite part of the special is when he talks about a guy he worked with at a grocery store when he was in high school. Adam is pretty well known for his impressions, and the impression of his former coworker is hilarious. You might have seen other clips of him online as Dr. Phil, which are also great.

Another signature bit is when he discusses his friendship with fellow comedian Brad Williams. Brad is a little person and he and Adam host a podcast together. I'm not gonna spoil the bit because the payoff is fantastic.

Adam's been a comedian for over 20 years and the craft definitely shows in this special. Top reccoh for sure and well worth the watch!
